Why Thigh Lift

Shapely legs are a distinctive feature of health, vitality and beaut but even the most rigorous fitness and weight loss efforts do not always achieve your goals for a firmer, more youthful looking body. A Thigh Lift procedure is performed on patients who are still unhappy with the appearance of their thighs despite weight loss and exercise. If you don’t like your thighs rubbing together, or if your thighs look saggy, or if your outer thighs are disproportionate with the shape of your hips or buttocks–a Thigh Lift procedure may be what you need.
Our cosmetic surgery patients believe that wearing shorts and skirts is almost a requirement of the excellent weather we are fortunate to enjoy year-round. Being physically active or participating in outdoor activities in long pants can be cumbersome, if not restrictive and possibly depressing.
Thigh lifts are used to re-contour the skin on the inner and outer thighs, helping to increase comfort and create a more pleasing look for the lower body.

Candidates For Thigh Lift

Patients who have undergone massive weight loss are the most common candidates for a thigh lift at Esthe-Line. These patients present undesirable conditions such as redundant skin and persistent fat on the inner thighs. If you’re considering a thigh lift, you should be a non-smoker (quit at least six weeks before surgery) and be motivated to improve your appearance.
During a consultation with Dr. Osmanoglu, you can find out if a thigh lift at Esthe-Line can help achieve your cosmetic goals. The doctor will explain the risks, benefits and other important details, so you have enough information to make an informed choice.
This surgery is typically performed on an outpatient basis. It requires about 2-3 hours under general (or local) anesthesia. In some cases, Dr. Osmanoglu may recommend liposuction alone to address the problem. In other cases, where loose skin is the primary indication, a full thigh lift is necessary.
